Ninja Gaiden is an action-adventure, hack and slash game for the Xbox
that was released in March 2004, and is the first game to kick off the
modern series of Ninja Gaiden thirteen years after Ninja Gaiden III came
out for the Nintendo Entertainment System, so we're looking at a
complete decade, here. Once again, the game stars Ryu Hayabusa, a
master ninja who sets off on a quest to retrieve a powerful and
dangerous sword and to avenge the death of his fallen brethren.

StarCraft
StarCraft is a Sci-Fi, real-time strategy game developed and published
by Blizzard for Windows PC in 1998. It stars three different sets of
species and puts you into the commander seat much like in Command and
Conquer. The game opens with a human male in armor battling against an
alien species later identified as the Zerg until help comes in
the form of one extra man. Meanwhile, up above in a ship looking down at
the chaos are two men discussing the ramifications of releasing such an
infestation like the one happening below. The obvious leader of the two
asks the other if he's willing to go all the way with it, in which he
responds with a yes and the ship takes off leaving those down below to
their most unwelcome fate.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
First it was a book by J. R. R. Tolkien, then it was a cartoon, then it
was a blockbuster motion picture the likes the world has never seen, and
then it was a video game! In honor of the Hobbit The Desolation of Smaug
coming out that same week, I thought it would be the perfect time to
look at The Lord of the Rings game developed by Stormfront Studios and
Hypnos Entertainment and published by EA Games for the PlayStation 2,
Xbox, Gamecube, and Game Boy Advance. I'll be looking at the PS2
version.

Atari Anniversary Edition Redux
It's all your favorite Atari games on the PlayStation. What could possibly go wrong?
In July 2001, Atari Anniversary Edition came out for the Sega Dreamcast featuring a ton of classic Atari games and special bonuses. Several months later a Redux version would come out for the PlayStation with a slightly altered list of Atari classics and that list includes: Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, Battlezone, Black Widow, Centipede, Gravitar, Missile Command, Pong, Space Duel, Super Breakout, Tempest, and Warlords. So, hang onto your hats because we're going through them all from A to Z.

Super Mario Bros/Sonic the Hedgehog
Back in the late eighties and early nineties, we had two video game
companies going head to head for supremacy. Nintendo and Sega. While the
Sega Master System made plenty of waves in Europe it never quite got
the same market that Nintendo had with the NES in North America, that
was until the Sega Genesis (known as the Megadrive to the rest of the
world) came onto the scene in all its 16-bit glory becoming real
competition for Nintendo, which would later come out with the Super
Nintendo, and both companies had its signature mascot as seen above.

Metal Gear Solid

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
It's November here in our crazy, screwed up little world, and while
advertisers and stores are already gearing up for Christmas, the rest of
us are getting ready to celebrate the day we fatten up a bunch of
Native Americans before brutally slaughtering and raping their land. In
honor of that glorious day I bring to you, Thanksgaming, a time
where we can take a look back fondly on the video games of our
childhood, whether you grew up in the 70's, 80's, 90's, or the 00's. If
it was a part of your childhood then it deserves recognition. Now, while
it's not possible for me to properly represent every gaming generation
that has come and gone, I will be doing my best to look at various
titles that came out during the 90's, 80's, and even the late 70's, from
Nintendo, PlayStation, Sega, and Atari. To kick things off, a franchise
that I'm sure many who are reading this right now are all too familiar
with. I am of course talking about, THE LEGEND OF ZELDA!

F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin

over the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Devil May Cry
Devil May Cry is an action-adventure, hack and slash game developed and
published by Capcom with director Hideki Kamiya, who wrote the game
alongside Noboru Sugimura. The game was introduced in the Summer of 2001
in Japan and came over here in October, quickly becoming a a
fan-favorite. We saw two sequels, one prequel, and a reboot. During
development Devil May Cry was originally going to be the fourth
installment of the Resident Evil franchise, but it was felt that
the game new cool and stylized action themes strayed too far from the
franchise's roots, and it was decided to make it its own independent
game. If only we all had those convictions.

Darksiders
Because nothing quite says Halloween like the Four Horsemen, angels,
demons, the apocalypse and the complete and utter destruction of
mankind. It's Darksiders! Available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and
Windows PC. Darksiders was developed by Vigil Games–
Vigil. Not Virgil.

Dark Souls
Dark Souls is an action role-playing game developed by From Software and published by Bandai. It was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2011 and became available for the PC one year later. Because of its theme including soul stealing, undead, and a difficulty setting that has left gamers screaming in horror, I thought Dark Souls was the perfect way to begin Halloween Month 2013. So, without further ado, let's dive into the Xbox 360 version of Dark Souls.

Pokemon Red/Blue
The franchise that defined an entire generation. Back in the late nineties you couldn't spit without hitting a kid who was either playing Pokemon, or talking about Pokemon. It was everywhere, in games, on television, movie theaters, albums, card games, toys, stuffies and stickers! Even if you didn't play games chances were you knew what it was and it's still going on to this day.
We went nuts about it as kids, we still go nuts about it now and our parents scratch their heads and just shrug their shoulders. As long as we weren't drinking or smoking they didn't care. So, with Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire right around the corner, I thought now would be the perfect time to go back to where it all began. With Pokemon Red and Blue!

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (Spoilers)
Developed by BioWare and published by LucasArts, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

master Revan, rose to power after the death of his master and launched
an all out attack against the Republic. A force of which threatens to
crush everything in its wake. Is it just me, or are the Sith ALWAYS the
stronger of the two in these stories?

be taking a look at the original game.

Sailor Moon, originally a manga series written by Naoko Takeuchi and

made. I am of course talking about:

Final Fantasy X-2
In life you can't be afraid to ask the tough questions like, “Why are we
here?” “What's the meaning of life?” and, “Is Final Fantasy X-2 really
as bad as everybody says it is?”
Yes, it's different. Yes, it's
girly. And yes, Rikku forgot what a shirt is, but are those things
enough to constitute a bad game? Today we find out as we dive right into
Final Fantasy X-2, but first some backstory on Final Fantasy.

Metroid Fusion is the fourth installment in the Metroid franchise
starring famous bounty hunter, Samus Aran. Samus made her debut in 1986

robot. Or a man robot. Moving on.
