Fallout

Hallo en welkom op Torij 's Video Game beoordelingen. It's New Year's Eve, and what a crazy year it's been; we've had Final Fantasy, Katamari Damacy, Eternal Darkness, Spider-Man, Silent Hill, and Shadow of the Beast, and I thought what better way to cap off 2014 than a post-nuclear role playing game: the original Fallout.

Shadow of the Beast

gamarjoba da mivesalmebi ToriJ video t’amashis mimokhilva. Whew, we have a big one here today. Shadow of the Beast. And not even the good Shadow of the Beast, we're playing the Sega Genesis version. The Genesis port was notorious for being exceptionally bad due to increasing the default 50 Hz refresh rate to 60, because that was the standard for all Sega Genesis games in North America. So, the game became more difficult because it was running 16.7% faster than intended. Blast processing!

Dragon Rage

ava'yorn vur aldoer ekess torij ui|ulph video nibel reviews. Feel the rage! Dragon rage, as we take on the role of Cael as he sets out to free the rest of the dragon race enslaved by orcs. A bunch of dragons being pushed around by orcs! How does that happen? Orcs are like these little ugly green things, and dragons are huge while breathing fire! What's that? They took away the element that granted them the power of fire? Who was guarding? They should have gotten Smaug to guard that, he would have made those orcs wet themselves. Long story short, we get a quick plot setup in the opening to give us an excuse to go around killing orcs, and kill orcs we shall!

Infamous 2

Cole MacGrath returns to action in the 2011 sequel to Sucker Punch's “Infamous” franchise. If you haven't read my review of the first game you can do so here.

We start off with a recap of what happened in the last game, and immediately the first thing you will notice is that we have a different voice playing Cole. This time we have Eric Ladin, best known for his role as January Jones' brother in “Mad Men.” Sucker Punch brought him in because they felt they needed someone who could perform Cole's physical reactions while doing his voice to best utilize the new motion capture technology.

It was the end of an era as we said goodbye to the 16-bit graphics of the Super Nintendo and hello to full 3D models that, while considered dated by today's standards, were revolutionary for their time. It was a critical part of a lot of people's childhoods, introducing them not only to the franchise, but to the genre as a whole. The game saw so much success that it spanned a movie, an anime, numerous spin-offs games, prequels, books; -- an entire Compilation that's canon to everyone but the fans, and today we look at the game that started it all.

From the decision to be a first-person view game to allowing an unproven Western developer to handle a Japanese title. However, it managed to endure all of that and became a critical and financial success spanning a series all its own. So, without further ado, let's dive into Metroid Prime!
